Northern Vertex Announces David Farrell Appointed to Board of Directors

Vancouver, B.C. - Northern Vertex Capital Inc. (TSX.V:NEE) ("Northern Vertex") is pleased to announce that David Farrell has been appointed to the Company's Board of Directors. Mr. Farrell brings Northern Vertex 17 years of investment banking and legal experience in the mining industry. David has been President of Davisa Consulting, a private consulting company, since October 2011. Prior to this, he was Managing Director, Mergers & Acquisitions at Endeavour Financial. Endeavour Financial was a boutique investment and merchant banking company focused exclusively on the junior to mid-tier global mining industry. Prior to his 12 years at Endeavour Financial, David was a lawyer at Stikeman Elliott, working in Vancouver, Budapest and London.

At Endeavour Financial, Mr. Farrell rose to the position of Managing Director, M&A where he was responsible for the origination, negotiation and implementation of mergers and acquisitions, dispositions and strategic review opportunities both for Endeavour's gold business and global mining clients. As Managing Director, he successfully closed over US$25 billion worth of transactions in the junior and mid tier global mining space for companies operating in precious and base metals, coal and energy metal industries.

Subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange, Northern Vertex will issue 200,000 incentive stock options to Mr. Farrell under the Company's stock option plan and are exercisable for a period of 5 years at a price of $1.30.

Mr. Farrell graduated from the University of British Columbia with a B.Comm. (Honours, Finance) and an LL.B and is called to the bar in both British Columbia and England. He is also a board member, chairman of the finance committee and treasurer of Yaletown House, a non-profit, critical-care seniors' facility in downtown Vancouver.
